  • The piece was a part of a dancebridge collaboration between Iceland and Poland. Sigríður Soffia spent one month in Poland creating the dancepiece "Colorblind" for 6 dancers of the Polish contemporary company Silesan Dance theater.
  • ...“Colorblind” is a story about our existence, about our condition in the world. It seems to say: “With time you start to realize that even though you are colorblind, the world is still in color”. After Polish premiere one of critics wrote about this performance: “Performance “Colorblind” by Sigríður Soffía Níelsdóttir and Silesian Dance Theatre takes us into space where we can substantially feel the metaphor of human life. From the dark stage we can hear voice taking us into the performance’s idea – throwing man into the world’s whirl, his struggle with life.”
  • The piece premiered in Bytom Poland on the 29th of june and was performed in iceland and Warsaw the 21 and 24th of october 2010.
