  • Number of people on tour: 2 people travelling (Lovísa Ósk Gunnarsdóttir and Halla Ólafsdóttir). 6 performers on stage. Part of the concept for the piece is that it only takes one week of rehearsal, to learn and develop and we always invite local performers (not necessarily with a dance background). As a result there is constantly a new version of Grease the Deleted Scenes created, depending on the place where it is performed. The structure also allows for each performer to rehearse at home and not necessarily all together in a studio. Similar to the rock band where everybody knows their instrument and what songs to play, then meet for getting the communal groove and then we go for it with an audience. In this sense we also se the piece as an opportunity to create a platform for different artist to meet and through the rehearsal and doing of the piece create a dialog on different ways of thinking about and making dance.
