  • A hilarious and provocative work by one of Iceland’s most popular authors. When something goes missing from your own personal storage room in your apartment building, naturally you want to know who is responsible. At least that is the view taken by Sigurhans, the jazz aficionado. And even though only a few chickens sold at a discount price have disappeared from his freezer, Sigurhans decides to call for a house meeting. After all, he is pretty sure he knows who did it.
  • The Chickens is a comedy with a tragic twist. Its themes are mainly egocentricity and prejudice, and in direct context with the recent Icelandic economic and political collapse: renunciation and condemnation.
